Makeney Hall

Makeney Hall Hotel

Opened for business in August 1992, Makeney Hall has gone on to achieve a rosette for cuisine and service in the delightful restaurant and a "Best Newcomer of the Year Award".

Built as a Victorian Country Mansion by the Strutt family, the house has been lovingly restored to a very high standard, and whilst offering every modern convenience, special care was taken to preserve the character and charm of the original features. The unique position of Makeney Hall, close to the Peak District and yet only twenty minutes drive from the motorway makes us the perfect venue whether your stay is for business or leisure.

Meetings and Conference

A superb choice of conference and meeting rooms, including an independent training centre is available at Makeney Hall. Catering for up to 150 delegates, our professional staff will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the event and advice is available for the planning of excursions and leisure pursuits within the area.
